Company Profile

Management of our company is handled jointly by Peter Henry (over 35 years commercial dive experience) and Antony Old (seven years commercial dive experience).  Our staff includes dive personnel with welding, drilling, construction, NDT and concreting expertise.  We employ full time coded subsea welders and have divers holding 3.1u inspection tickets.  Our supervising team includes university qualified supervisors, who are skilled at assimilating information to deliver reports that are concise, relevant and written to an exceptionally high standard.

At Fremantle Diving Centre we understand the impact that lost time can have on your operation and that clearing a dive team onto a worksite can sometimes be a difficult task.  This is why when we send you a dive team, our crew will arrive in mining/worksite appropriate clothing including steel cap boots and fluoro shirts.   Our teams come prepared with comprehensive paperwork including risk assessments, JSA’s and the relevant test certificates for equipment being carried, plus laptop computers to re-work any paperwork as required.  In addition to this, we will send you competent dive supervisors with relevant industry experience, who are capable of making the right decisions to achieve your desired outcomes in a safe and timely manner.  There is no substitute for quality personnel on any job and at Fremantle Diving Centre, we stand by the quality of the dive crews we send to you.

All our diving operations are ADAS compliant and feature two way surface to diver and diver to diver communications.  In addition to the standard dive equipment, each dive spread has its own “Flyaway” brand underwater video unit, including all camera cables, lights and camera.  This allows us to show project superintendants exactly what is going on under the water at any time, plus produce an onsite DVD of any dive for our client, that includes interactive commentary by the diver and supervisor.  We have full hydraulic work equipment, including grinders, standard drills, hammer drills and chainsaws, MRI thickness testing equipment for testing metal thickness underwater, BROCO and underwater welding gear, lifting gear, plus a full workshop of dive equipment and tools.  Our inventory of gear is considerable, which reduces our reliance on hire equipment and allows us to mobilise additional gear to jobs, as required, quickly.
